As co-founder of Greater Vision International, Joel Rickett brings a heart for service and a background in leadership, mentorship, and community outreach. His passion for helping others — especially children and families in need — has shaped both his personal and professional life.

Joel Rickett was born and raised in California’s San Francisco Bay Area, where a deep commitment to serving others took root early in his life. As a young adult, he served as a church leader in Sacramento, ministering to individuals facing homelessness and addiction. He also worked as a counselor in youth foster homes, where he witnessed firsthand the life-changing power of stability, opportunity, and mentorship.

Joel met Suzan over a decade ago, and together they’ve built a life grounded in faith, family, and service. They are proud parents to three amazing boys and a daughter.

With degrees in Business and Marketing and a heart for vulnerable communities, Joel brings both compassion and strategy to his work. He believes that access to education and basic healthcare is not a privilege, but a right — and he is committed to helping make that a reality for children in Uganda through Greater Vision International.
