Suzan Rickett
Born and raised in Uganda, Suzan Rickett knows the impact of opportunity firsthand. Now a nurse, mother, and co-founder of Greater Vision International, she’s committed to helping children in Uganda access education, nutrition, and healthcare — just as others once did for her.
Executive Director, Uganda Operations
A single act of generosity changed the course of Suzan Rickett’s life — a Canadian family sponsored her education, offering a path out of poverty and into a future full of possibility. That experience became the foundation for her deep commitment to serving others.

Having faced the same hardships many Ugandan children still endure today, Suzan is passionate about creating opportunities for those who need them most. She believes every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and build a life beyond survival.

In 2020, Suzan and her husband Joel founded Greater Vision International and its first initiative, Greater Vision Uganda, to bring education, nutrition and health to underserved communities. What began as one-on-one acts of giving has grown into a movement to empower the next generation.

Now living in California’s East Bay, Suzan is a Registered Nurse, a mother of four, and a tireless advocate for children in Uganda. She holds a BA in Environmental Management and a Nursing degree — but it’s her unwavering compassion and personal story that drive the mission forward.
